Michael & Susan
Woodruff

  • Michael Woodruff | Founder, CPA

Michael began his career in public accounting 30 years ago at a Big 6 firm performing audits for large public registrants and privately held entities. He spent a brief period in internal audit for a Fortune 500 Company before beginning his focus on the middle market. With the ability to bring big company ideas to smaller, usually owner-managed businesses, he was able to provide insight to his clients that was appropriately scaled to their needs. It is this focused approach that honed Michael’s service philosophy to always bring the best and brightest ideas to clients and tailor them to their needs, no matter their size.

Michael is an avid college football fan, and he will often be found in the stands of his alma mater, Texas Christian University [ GO FROGS!], on Saturdays in the fall. He and his wife, Susan, have three children with whom they enjoy traveling, boating, and even working. Their eldest, Braden, who joined the firm in 2023, is a Horned Frog and CPA, and their daughter is working on her accounting degree at OU. Now, the youngest will be getting a lot of pressure from parents and siblings to follow suit!

  • Susan Woodruff | Founder, CPA

Susan began her career with Centex Homes, where, after 18 years as the controller of Centex’s Builders Supply, she found herself closing down their shop after their acquisition by Pulte. Since then and prior to joining Millner|Woodruff, she spent 8 years in the Technical Accounting group of Thomson Reuters, who produces much of the research and guidance for the public accounting industry. Susan’s client service role includes both large and small entities and is focused on timely, quality deliverables to clients. Susan’s philosophy is to partner with small businesses so that owners can focus on what they do best - growing their business!

Susan and her husband, Michael, can often be found cheering on their youngest at soccer and their beloved Horned Frogs at Texas Christian University. Susan loves to plan the family's travels, play cards, and her dog, Murphy. You will certainly find him wherever you find her, including the office!

  • Braden Woodruff | CPA

Braden began his career with Deloitte, as a public accountant, performing audits for a mix of Fortune 500 companies and privately held entities. He graduated from Texas Christian University with his undergraduate and master’s in accounting (Go Frogs!), and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Texas. Braden joined the Millner|Woodruff family in 2023 to expand his tax and accounting knowledge with the intention of providing clients with a comprehensive solution to their unique personal and business needs.

Braden and his wife, Caroline, are both TCU alums and can be found cheering on their Frogs every Saturday in the fall or soaking up the sun at Lake Lewisville in the summer. Braden enjoys catching up with family and friends to play the latest card game, workout, or grab a bite to eat.

Last, as a Flower Mound, TX resident, Braden is enthusiastic about supporting the locals that make our community so great!

  • Tyler Mouton | CPA

Tyler began his career in accounting at Millner|Woodruff CPAs, as an intern while finishing up school. Tyler graduated from Ouachita Baptist University (OBU) with a double major in accounting and sports management and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Texas. Tyler continues to grow as he keeps up to date in the fields of tax preparation and auditing. His responsibilities include tax return preparation, tax planning, and engaging in audits the firm performs.

Tyler and his wife, Alexa, both graduated from OBU before setting roots in Argyle, TX with their two children, Harper and Reese. He enjoys spending time with his family, being active outdoors, and is patiently waiting for his children to be old enough to start playing youth sports. Tyler was a four year collegiate soccer player at OBU, earning both academic and athletic honors, including being named a 2016 Division II All-American.

  • Sunni Stephenson | Bookkeeper

Sunni is our lead bookkeeper who is fueled by the idea that details, patterns & consistency make a big difference. She started her career in the business world as an Office Manager for a stainless steel company in Dallas and later joined a Coppell CPA firm as an account manager. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Texas Woman’s University. She’s passionate about helping her clients find a process or system that works best for their company and being the accounting support they need to thrive.

In her spare time, you can find her OM’ing in a hot vinyasa yoga class, volunteering/serving at her church in Grapevine, rock climbing or playing with her Boxer (and fur baby).

  • Rachel Marshall | Bookkeeper

Rachel joined the Millner|Woodruff team in 2019. She brings a varied accounting background to this bookkeeping position. Accounting appeals to her pragmatic, detail-oriented, mystery-solving side. She enjoys drilling down on a problem, making things right and set-up correctly for the future. She is really a people-person and loves helping clients run an efficient, profitable business. She earned her degree in Chinese and Asian Studies from Brigham Young University in 1994. Since then she and her husband have treasured living and making friends around the United States. They have lived in California, Utah, New Hampshire, Georgia and then in 2018 arrived in Texas. She also is passionate about serving in her church; playing games with friends and family; and, if she is EVER alone, watching murder-mysteries and knitting.

  • Nikki DiMasi | Bookkeeper

Nikki’s love for numbers began early. She looked forward to Math class each day, served as Treasurer of her sorority and after earning her Bachelor’s degree in General Management from Arizona State University, began her accounting career in the corporate world. She spent six years with Squire Patton Boggs in the accounting department before moving on to serve as Office Administrator for Campbell Yost. She loved her 12 years in law firm administration but decided to pause her career to stay at home full time with her kiddos in 2008. While raising her boys, she stayed active in numbers by serving as Treasurer for multiple non-profits. Eventually, she found more time in her days and began contract bookkeeping from home. It was through one of her clients that she discovered Millner Woodruff and in February 2023 joined their team.

Nikki loves spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband, Chris, have four boys who keep them busy. When she’s not at the ball fields, you might find her on a tennis court, running on the trail, eating at MiCos, enjoying happy hour on a patio with girlfriends or acting as an Uber for her kids (but not in that order).
